About

Hailing from Columbia, MO Mason Van Ghost is a singer/songwriter, rap advocate, illusive producer, skateboarding enthusiast and father of three. Bouncing back and forth between stages in Kansas City, St. Louis and Columbia for years, Van Ghost is now based in Indianapolis to further pursue music without straying too far from his roots.

Since signing with Indyground in 2018, Van Ghost released “Minor Dialogue” which was followed by the “Face the Music” tour with Steddy P. Van Ghost has shared bills with Blueprint, Flobots, Jelly Roll, Black Milk, Reverie, P.O.S, Merkules, Carnage The Executioner, and Deca as well as other local and regional acts.

A DIY craftsman who records, mixes and produces all of his own music that “unites various eras of hip-hop, evoking the jazz-forged styles of the 1980s, the conversational style of artists who dropped in the ’90s — think Atmosphere or Aesop Rock — and a sure-footed stand on the genre’s present tense” – Aarik Danielsen (Columbia Daily Tribune).
